They have various programs you can use for your resume. You will get to facilitate play while helping to maintain the exhibits. Before you get started, you will need to fill out an application and attend training with your parent.

The Erie, PA, park has two different volunteer program opportunities: one for adults over the age of 18 and another for teens starting at the age of 14. You will need to commit at least 40 hours each year. They offer flexible schedules and some pretty sweet perks, including discounted food and free memberships for those who put in over 100 hours. With this option, you will get to help in the Children’s Zoo or with special events.

Their volunteers put in over 5,000 hours a week, teaching music lessons, leading classrooms, conducting yoga classes, and reading to the kids. They host regular open houses so you can learn more about their mission and find out how you can help. Erie County Public Library is regularly looking for volunteers who will keep the centers running smoothly. Each volunteer will first need to clear a background check before starting. They also require that you are able to meet physical requirements for moving books and reading to groups. Each volunteer must put in a minimum of 8 hours a month. During seasons when they aren’t accepting volunteers, they can get you connected with their sister organizations.
